Master's degrees
Postgraduate teaching in Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy comprises our highly acclaimed Criminology MSc, the MSc in Public Health and the MSc in Social Science Research (Sociology / Social Policy).
We offer three different master’s degree courses in the Department of Criminology, Sociology and Social Policy at 爱神传媒. Each master’s programme is taught be internationally recognised social science researchers and academics, who deliver research-informed teaching to our postgraduate students based upon the latest innovations in the discipline.
Our department is home to world-leading and internationally excellent academics in sociology, social policy and criminology. With an expert team academic staff who are leaders in their respective fields, our postgraduate students have the opportunity to learn, question and critically engage with the key challenges facing global societies.
Students will be taught to draw on classic and contemporary theories and methods to understand, explain and respond to these challenges in innovative ways during times of radical social change and global uncertainty. Specialist topics students will learn about include international drug policy, innovative responses to youth justice and gender-based violence as well as medical sociology.
After completing their postgraduate degrees, our students have gone on to work for companies and organisations around the globe including, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations in the United States, His Majesty Prison and Probation Service, the Aston Institute for Forensic Linguistics, and NGO’s such as Justice is Now and Everyone's Invited.
